might be easier to take back the phones than an entire country.
Maybe people could take a few incremental steps first.
WORK FOR YOU! THEY WANTED TO WORK FOR YOU! MAKE
IF YOU DON'T TELL THEM WHAT YOU WANT THEY'LL NEVER KNOW.

SPEAK YOUR MIND! GIVE EM AN EAR FULL!
WAKE EM THE HELL UP!
SOME WOULD CALL IT LOBBYING!
If you have a phone then what’s
preventing you from getting together with a few friends who have the
same interest and begin LOBBYING for your group’s
interests? If your phone's a cell phone then more than
likely you have UNLIMITED minutes so long distance calls are the same
price as local calls.
Just agree to a schedule when
each of you call your elected official’s office to leave your
opinion. If each of you call on the same exact day at the
same exact time, the party on the other end of the line will sooner or
later expect to get the Monday Morning 9 am call about the rain forest
or making sure all the curbs at the corners have wheel chair
accessibility. The KEY is consistency and persistence.
KEEP DOING IT!!!
The more people who call the better. The
more consistent the effort the better. You’ll become aware
of the people working for you and you’re speaking up about what you
care about. You’re giving people who lobby against you and
your family and friend’s interests some competition.
Same thing with writing
letters. You’ve actually “memorialized” your concern and
you have a HARD COPY record of your efforts! That HARD COPY

That evidence can be used to show the folks in the
neighborhood if your employees downtown or up at the State capital or
back in DC aren’t doing what you hired them to do. You’ll
have MATERIAL EVIDENCE upon which to determine if they’re competent and
they in fact actually represent you as they represented they would when
they want you to hire them.
A salon is a get together.
It’s not unlike a Tupper Ware or slumber party. It’s just a
get together of people with the same interests. What you do, what
you discuss is up to you but getting together with others to discuss
topics of interest is important. After gaining a consensus
of what everyone’s interests are, use the communication tools available
to you to communicate what you and your group want to your
employees. If they don’t know it’s a foregone conclusion
your employees won’t know what you want and may act contrary to your
It's important to share your experiences with each other so the group
can be more effective. Some will run into obstcles the others
won't so it's important to share the BLOCKS or OBSTRUCTIONS to improver
the efficience and success rate.
